My statement was: Video games are purely for entertainment, they are not art. Our group disagreed with the statement. Our first point was the video game, "Minecraft". In it, the player can create whatever they want out of the wide array of materials and pieces that the game offers. Many sculptures and works of art have been created inside the game, and it offers a creative outlet to many players. The second piece of evidence we decided on was the graphics in the video game "Crisis 3". A lot of effort and imagination has gone into designing the landscapes and models, and they could all stand alone as art pieces if displayed. Our third point was the game "The Witness", a game that follows a detailed narrative, with a beautiful message. All art has meaning, and good art has a message.
